A little black dress might be the fashion staple for most women, but some people look sick in black. Not everyone can suit the same colors. We're all different. Those with cool skin tones look fabulous in black but those with warm skin tones need a different basic color.
Earth tones and golds suit those with warm skin tones. Those who look best in the shades of autumn (think about the golden leaves, browns and shades of red in the woods during autumn) would fare well in a dark brown dress. As would a woman who looks better in peaches and the colors of spring. Black can draw away the color from her face.
If either of these describes you, conside a little brown dress intead. Here's one I found.
